Information POF
Islam flourished on the subcontinent after Muhammad Bin Qasim arrived in 712 A.D. From this point on, Muslims dominated South Asia and India. At the end of the Mughal rule, British Imperialism took over the subcontinent, starting its exploitation. During this phase, the British constructed sixteen ordnance factories to protect their occupation from strategic threats. When Pakistan was formed, Pakistan had no manufacturing facilities for arms and ammunition. To protect the state, the new army needed arms and ammunition.

The Pakistan Ordnance Factories were thus formed, producing conventional arms and ammunition to international standards. The POF Board is headquartered in Wah Cantt. Currently, POF manufactures commercial explosives, hunting ammunition, brass, copper, and aluminum ingots, extrusions, and sections for non-military applications. The POF has garment factories that take care of the needs of making military uniforms.

Test/ interview will be conducted at Wah Cantt, Lahore, Karachi and Quetta. Center-wise list of candidates will also be displayed on POF Website.
