The most prestigious universities in Turkey offer scholarships to international students.

Programs and Levels of Study:

Applications are encouraged from students seeking bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.

Eligibilities:

Citizens are not subject to any restrictions

Graduates or students planning to graduate prior to August 2022.

Education and research

Ineligible:

Loss of Turkish citizenship by individuals and citizens

A student enrolled in a Turkish university at the level of education he or she intends to pursue

Minimum academic achievement is required

The majority of applicants are seeking undergraduate degrees

A minimum of 75% is required for graduate students

Medical, dental, and pharmacy students: 90%

Age Criteria:

The minimum age requirement for undergraduate programs is 21 years old

Under 30 is the minimum age requirement for master’s programs

Applicants to PhD programs must be under 35 years old

Research Scholarships are available to students under 45

Documents required by the Türkiye Scholarships Application System

The following information must be included when applying online (TBBS):

Identity documents, such as passports and ID cards, must be presented

The candidate must have taken a photograph within the past year

Results of the national exam (if applicable)

Diploma or certificate of graduation

Student completion certificates

Some universities and programs require scores from international tests (GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.).

Universities and programs may offer international language courses

Scores from TOEFL and DELF may be required

PhD applicants must submit research proposals and examples of their research.

Important Details:

The Turkish language is taught in many Turkish universities. However, a few universities and departments offer English-taught courses. To apply to such a program, you must provide a certificate of proficiency in the language.

The university will require a THEEFL or another equivalent certification if it has officially stated that it is acceptable. International admission tests (GRE, GMAT, SAT, etc.) are required for most of these programs. The language of instruction can be chosen by the candidate when applying.

SATs or GCSEs are considered international qualifications instead of national test scores.

Turkish Scholarship awardees in English medium programs (as well as those in other languages) must obtain the C1 Level Certificate for Turkish Proficiency.
